Welcome to our Tacito Creek Project!✨ I’m so excited to bring you guys along from the very beginning on this one…

We’re kicking off a new remodel, and I thought this would be a good opportunity to share a little more of what goes into the decisions we make before construction ever starts.

When we walk into a space, we’re looking at so much more than what we want to change aesthetically—how the rooms relate to each other, how the layout is working (or isn’t), what makes sense to keep, and where reworking the space can make the biggest impact.

Starting with a look at where we’re beginning and a few of the things we’re considering as we reimagine this home.

Antiques are one of my favorite ways to make a home feel collected instead of decorated.

The key is knowing how to mix them in — paying attention to scale, proportion, finish and what’s happening around them. You don’t need a room full of antiques. Sometimes one really good piece is exactly what a space needs to add character and keep everything from feeling too new.

And the best part? It doesn’t have to “match.” It just has to belong.

There’s a lot that goes into good design and putting a room together — so I thought it would be good to start talking about more of it here!

The decisions that make a room work. The mistakes I see all the time. Where I think it’s worth investing, where you can pull back, and the little details that can completely change how a space comes together.

So along with sharing projects and all the pretty things, I’m going to be sharing more of the practical side of design too — the things I’m thinking about every day as I’m designing homes for my clients.

And I want to know what you’re curious about. If there’s something you’ve always wondered about when it comes to your home or the design process, leave it in the comments. I’d love to add it to the conversation. ⬇️🩵

So excited to be supporting such a special event in our community this Saturday! 🩵

This cause is something that’s personally very close to our hearts, and we are honored to be able to sponsor this weekend’s fundraiser benefiting Ansley’s Room — an incredible local organization supporting families with children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Wolfson Children’s Hospital.

Ansley’s Room was created in honor of sweet Ansley and provides a dedicated space within the PICU where families can step away for a moment, rest, regroup, and find some of the comforts of home while remaining close to their child. Through the room and the continued support they provide to PICU families, Ansley’s legacy continues to bring comfort, hope, and love to so many. ❤️

Join us Saturday, August 15th at The Hennesy Fitness Method for a 7:30 9:00 AM or 10:30 AM workout, with every dollar raised from the classes going directly to Ansley’s Room.

There will also be some fun Ansley’s Room SWAG including mats, towels, water bottles, plus free coffee & treats from The Kookaburra next door afterward! 🎀☕️

Thank you 👑👀 ♾ and The Hennesy Fitness Method for putting together such a fun way for our community to come together and support an amazing cause.

Hope to see y’all there! 🩵💪🏼
