🍁 Planning a North Carolina fall leaf trip already? This guide is for you.
If you’re trying to decide which week to book your cabin, request vacation time, or plan a Blue Ridge Parkway road trip, this should give you a good starting point.
This is NOT a fall color prediction.
It’s a planning guide based on North Carolina’s typical fall color progression by elevation over past years.
The exact timing depends on weather. A warm September, a cool October, rainfall, or an early cold snap can all shift peak color by several days.
That’s why the most accurate foliage forecasts won’t be available until we get closer to October.
But if you’re planning ahead, this is the best time to start narrowing down which week is usually your best bet.
