I’m not sure what insect this is but I am fascinated by the pattern on its wings. Also, wanted to share this tiny 6”x 6” driftwood with embedded shell.

Some local nature I’ve come across lately. There’s plenty more but these caught my eye. I don’t have a clue what the swamp flowers are but they remind me of shrimp. The birds nest is in our flower pot and the Cicada at my door step. The other creature is a driftwood work in progress.

We just made a pleasant delivery trip to visit our friend and loyal driftwood enthusiast Arturo Tyson in Darien GA. Always good to chat with him and see his beautiful gardens and Koi ponds. His interest in the larger pieces pushes my paddle board limitations but I enjoy the challenge.😀

I’m not sure if the colors enhance the driftwood or vice-versa. Either way I’ve decided to experiment a bit…no guts no glory is my motto. In the wall hanging there are 6 different types of driftwood. Hope you like it.

I’ve become fascinated with air plants recently. I never realized there were so many versions. The best part for me is how easy they are to care for. I find wood then Cecilia figures out which air plants to use. Pretty simple😀.
