Proof that once is enough. So I started this season like all others...and paired up my snakes once. But a busy work schedule interfered and after 8 seasons, I decided it was time to take a break. It seemed like a good time to hit pause with the way the ball python market is now. After only one pairing back in January, I had given up on any babies this season. Evidently this little girl did not agree. Even though this was her first season, she decided to gift me with 6 gorgeous eggs. She is a Mojave bred to a Phantom, so if I am lucky I may get a Purple Passion or two. For me projects come and go as the years pass, but I think I will always have ball pythons. Somehow they just work their way into your soul.

Day two of the Reptile Super Show at Pomona... Purchased more great animals for our collection. A Toffino, a Pastel het Clown, a couple of Mystics, and a Hidden Gene Woma.

Found some great animals today at the Pomona Reptile Super Show. But this one takes the cake...We have been holding off on getting a Banana because so many people are producing them and the quality on them is going way down. We wanted to make sure when we purchased one, it was going to be a top quality animal, and Jeff Luman Reptiles had this awesome baby we just could not walk away from. You practically need sunglasses to look at him, and he has a wonderful purple background color. I keep sneaking peeks at him just to look at him. This picture by no means does him justice, but he is in quarantine and my light box is in my main snake room, so this will have to do for now. See if you can identify the other animals we picked up today in the other pictures.
