e you been an artist and this is my answer today: I am in my 80th year - so I date my first official day as an artist to when I was 8 years old and my friend Lynn showed me what was the first box of Crayola crayons ever sold in South Africa! We both looked at the 48 colors mesmerized! We would only draw very softly with them, and I was not allowed to touch the silver or gold. This moment in time was the jump off point and those amazing colors of Crayola (now 90 colors), have been my muse. I have had exhibitions throughout South Africa, United Kingdom, California and Hawaii, and am registered in the Smithsonian. I hail from South Africa where I started painting and teaching art. My background as a Remedial Therapist has given me the ability to use my art as art therapy for various groups within the community with much success! My art personifies movement and each piece creates a sense of shift, albeit a set of flowing daffodils or wild women dancing in the wind.
