Original person had to back out so I have an extra, large size nativity available. It is 8 foot by 4 foot. The star attaches at the top of the arch (not attached due to easier to transport and assemble later).
It is complete and ready for pick up!!!!
This was made by me using a jig saw to cut the design (not machine cut).
Comes with yard stakes and wind braces to have in your yard through the entire season.
Please share!!!

All the painting is finished. The weather is going to allow me to varnish this week!!! Yeah for no rain in the forecast.

While I wait on some things to cure before I can do any varnish - I made templates for the design I will paint on the ornament.
The camels go low and the nativity will go high.

What it takes to make a piece.
It isn’t just cut and paint!
Trace the piece out
cut the piece (I use a jigsaw)
1 layer of primer on each side (1 week to cure)
3 layers of paint on each side (4 hours before another layer, 2 weeks to cure)
3 layers of UV protecting varnish on each side (24 hours before another layer, 1 week to cure)
This doesn’t include time to buy materials, clean up between each process, or delivery.
I truly thought this was going to be easy. It is way tougher than it looks but I do enjoy everything but the painting (of the nativities, I love painting the designed pieces)

Been a while since I have done much woodworking or posting. I have been focused on my mental health. However I have been painting on the nativities. The photos are not much to see as it is white on white. The paint is curing on the small nativities before I can varnish them.
Today I primed the first ornament. It will eventually be a “silent night” design. Darker sky scape with blacked out nativity and wise men coming on their camels.
I am really looking forward to this one.

First ever custom raised planter box for my sister!!! Lots of learning and problem solving. It’s not perfect but I think I did pretty well.
