Today feels like losing a little piece of the South. 💔

As a Southern woman, Dolly Parton has always meant so much more to me than her music. She represented where we come from—the grit, the humor, the big dreams, and the belief that where you start does not have to determine where you finish.

Dolly came from absolutely nothing and worked tirelessly to build a life and legacy bigger than she probably ever imagined. And through all of it, she never forgot where she came from. She used what she built to give back, especially to children, and that’s something I’ve always admired about her.

A little-known piece of our own story is that our Butterfly Kisses scent was actually inspired by Dolly. 🦋💕 The sweetness, the femininity, the butterflies and flowers—it has always felt like her. Today, that scent means a little more to me. We will be donating 10% of every purchased of Butterfly Kisses to the Monroe County Library. In true dolly Fashion. Give & Keep Giving!

And maybe the sweetest full-circle part of all is that Dolly’s Imagination Library sends books to my sweet girl. 📚 The woman who inspired me as a Southern woman and business owner has also been quietly showing up in my daughter’s life, one little book at a time.

She showed women like me that you could be feminine AND strong. That you could come from very little and still dream incredibly big. That you could be successful without forgetting to be kind. And when you made it, you could reach back and help someone else along the way.

What a woman. What a life. What a legacy. 🦋

We’ll keep lighting our little Butterfly Kisses candles and thinking of the woman who inspired them.

I will always love you, Dolly. 💕

We’re so excited and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with Craig & Cindy’s Key West Rentals, a local property management and vacation rental company here in Key West! 🌴🩷

This partnership is especially meaningful to us because Craig Tellerd & Cindy have been longtime supporters of both Key West Candle & Bath Company and my husband’s business, Peak Charters . They’ve supported and encouraged our family’s businesses since the very beginning — long before where we are today.

There’s something really special about getting to work alongside people who have believed in what you’re building from the early days. 🩷

We’re so thankful that Craig & Cindy have chosen to work with us to bring our locally made Key West products into the properties they manage, giving their guests another little piece of Key West during their stay. 🌺🌊

☀️ Sunshine year-round
🐓 Chickens with absolutely no sense of personal space
🌊 Saltwater in places it probably shouldn’t be
🍹 Happy hour plans that start way too early
🩷 And your entire house smelling like Key West

Looking back on last school year, we were so happy to have the opportunity to donate some Key West Candle & Bath Co. goodies to the incredible teachers and staff at Sugarloaf School. 🩷

We loved being able to give them a little something to enjoy and are looking forward to another wonderful school year filled with learning, growing, and plenty of reasons to celebrate our amazing educators. 🍎📚✨
