Happy St. Patrick's Day! 🍀

I made baby boy a special blanket just for today to take pictures with and this is a sweater I worked on during the newborn trenches! The very first sweater I've made! It isn't perfect but I love it and it served him well on a few cold days honestly probably will continue to serve him since it seems winter will never end 😅

Even little holidays are made so much more special with sweet baby 💚💚💚 I think I need 20,000 more 😉

By the way I did get my Bloom Christmas Tree Skirt done! I didn't get a picture of it under the tree though. We will just have to wait to see her in all her glory next season! 🎄

I will forever have fond memories of being snowed in and working on this between baby snuggles 🤍

Today is my birthday!! 💙 Not much crocheting got done today but I did get several sweet snuggles in and had dinner with a dear friend so I call that a win! It even snowed a little haha

I was inspired by the 2026 reading list and actually managed to finish January's book!

I love anything Little House on the Prairie but I've never read all of the books. This was the first time I read The Long Winter and wow! It was intense! I hope I never live through a winter like that!

It was fitting that the last day of the month blessed us with a little fun snow for my picture!

I hope to carry on with the reading list but I am not sure I will find the February book in time.. I may choose another TBR from my shelf for next month and pick back up in March. I will share the list in my stories if you would like to join along!

I don't really have a plan for them but I thought it would be fun to make a little puff round to go with each book I read this year! Maybe by the end of the year I will have an idea.

We have spent most of the day cozy inside with a couple short breaks to take baby's first snow pictures! We also went to support our favorite Mexican restaurant that decided to open today 😂

My greatest make of 2025

This year I became a mom. I have been so quiet on here because crochet took a little bit of a backseat this year. Crochet - which is my favorite thing to do - oddly enough became a first trimester aversion. I have since recovered but now find my hands full of other things - mostly baby - and therefore do not have as much time to crochet anymore.

But this baby is my biggest blessing and he gets as much mommy time as he requests. Crochet will be a friend I visit as often as I can. I am learning that I will need to accept WIPs will take longer and that I won't be able to start that new amazing pattern that I spotted right away. But! I have a new yarn shopping buddy and someone to make all kinds of goodies for and I couldn't be more thrilled!

2025 was incredible and I know 2026 will be an adventure!

This year was a very special Christmas with many firsts! Also maybe the warmest Christmas ever?? Don't worry, my fake fireplace was not actually making heat just aesthetics 💅🥵

Today I said goodbye to my favorite little local yarn store. Walther Handmade was such a special shop where beautiful yarn and people gathered. I am so thankful for the fun times I shared with new friends that I made during Sit N' Stitch and for the new skills that I learned along the way!

Thank you Jillian for bringing such a warm and welcoming space to the community for yarn enthusiasts to gather and enjoy their craft among fellow creators. Walther Handmade will be very missed!
