My Airbnb is finally finished! This Basement Bungalow was more work than I anticipated with lots of ups and downs but it turned out well!
Major construction kicked it off with removing the staircase and ancient furnace, redesigning bathroom and kitchen, tearing walls down, building walls up, getting a new hvac and duct work system, putting doors where windows were, cutting brick out and putting windows in... etc... etc.. Was loads of work.
I designed the new space creating the new bathroom and kitchen layout, creating a laundry space with a coffee bar station and pantry, a dining space, a bedroom and closet, along with a sleeping loft and screen porch. I primed and painted all ceilings and walls along with acid washing the floors. Being on a budget | thrifted all the furnishings refinishing and painting them along with painting all the artwork. I used the old stair treads for shelving and old doors from the original 1940's house and kept some original brickwork.
