It’s been a while since I’ve found the time to post; teaching and managing our busy life have taken priority over my painting of late. I wanted to share with you all my work in progress that has sat in the “finish later” pile for far too long. It’s a beautiful thing to be able to paint with no deadlines hanging over my head, and to truly give myself artistic freedom to create what feels right. I look forward to sharing this one with you all as I continue to develop it!

Hello all! I decided to take a brief hiatus over the summer to enjoy spending time with my kids and give myself a bit of a creative break, but I am back!

This fall I am working on improving my original concept of 3D art by adding texture to make the artwork more visually interesting, as well as adding more wiring to make the artworks more durable.

A year ago, I had just finished making this painting. This piece featured two stargazer lilies, the wedding flowers of my customer. Each element of this painting was carefully selected to have special meaning, and it is still one of my all time favorite paintings!
