The La Joya Police Department along with neighboring law enforcement agencies will be working from August 15th through September 1st as part of the Labor Day IDM Wave initiative, focusing on traffic safety with an emphasis on impaired driving prevention.

It is essential to plan accordingly, refrain from drinking and driving, and consider alternative transportation options such as designating a driver or utilizing ride-sharing services like Lyft, Uber, or a taxi.
