I've been wanting to move into resin for a while but wanted to get to a comfortable spot with turning in general before stepping into yet another branch of this trade. I feel confident I've done that so i started looking around the house for the right piece. I don't ever take the easy route for some reason so in true me fashion I found this....thing and it'll be the perfect pilot piece. I'm just stuck on color. What do you think? Green, blue, red, black, gold? I don't like making decisions!

The weekend was so successful I had to bring blanks on the second day to keep the booth from looking bare! Met and talked with a lot of great people and made some really good sales. The sad part is I have to wait a year to do it again but the business road map is LOADED with new stuff and we're so excited to get it out of our shop and into your hands!

We're moving into new territory! Spent some time putting down some clear epoxy and trying to find the right way to do it. Luckily, when i was in the Marines, I did a lot of fiberglass repair on helicopters so it wasn't a huge learning process for me. Glad to say we poured once and we're very happy with the results so far! Hopefully this winter we can start slowly taking orders for epoxied table and bar tops!

To be clear this was an extremely small test piece intentionally done with cracks and curves so we could see how it would react and what we needed to do to keep it clean and clear. Also epoxy resin is STUPID expensive so applying a half gallon for a test is unrealistic.

What a week! We went from around 1300 followers to 2k in about 4 days. Just want to give all of you a huge thank you for the support!

As for the business road map we plan on opening up an entire separate wing this winter with flatware and most importantly tables!

One thing to keep in mind is I am a hobbyist so I've got a full time job that ties me up which is our family farm as well as a triaxle business. That being said, in about 3 or 4 weeks most of my content will stop almost completely as we usually run 12 to 16 hour days getting the crop in but I'll make it up to you this winter!

Once again thank you all so much for your follows and your interactions. They help the business push outside of my usual small town binds!

😮‍💨 I have to sell it, if I keep it I'll lose money , I have to sell it. I just keep repeating this in my head. Only the second coat of finish and I'm already dying to put it on a shelf! By far the most rich piece I've done to date! Food grade ambrosia hard maple with spalting.

This came from a parking lot in Indianapolis. Yes a PARKING LOT! It had grown into the ground cable of the power line and and was cut out.
