I recently opened a roll of hamburger meat that my granddaughter had purchased for me at a nearby store. I had specifically requested 80/20 hamburger meat, and she returned with a roll costing $9.50. To my surprise, the package claimed that it was '100% Beef,' but upon examining the ingredients list, I noticed that it contained 'beef byproducts.' It appears that labeling a product '100% Beef' is feasible if every component derives from the cow.
(Thank you AI) 😂😂😂 that thought this would sound better!!!
So now the real story! I started cook with it and it just didn’t feel right! So I looked at the package and it said “byproducts” 🤦🏼‍♀️
Everyone needs to start watching their labels on their food!! With prices jumping like they have been it is imperative that we keep an eye on what they are putting in our food!!!
This is just the beginning …
Dee Mac have you been reading the ingredients in this food??? I will start being more careful now! I usually read anyway because of my surgeries but not looking for this kind of stuff!!

My children WERE my meaning for life! I worked to take care of them! I would have fought a bear to protect them! I lived, breathed and protected them! It was the meaning of life for me! No one can tell me I failed as a human, no one can tell me that I did succeed, no one can tell me I missed out on anything because they are my everything!
Anyone who thinks they are a failure should look at their children and know that they did something correct! No matter how they turned out! Because God doesn’t make mistakes!

What are your children going to do with you when you are old?

Nursing home, build a room, mother in laws house, communal living establishment, … what is the plan?

Have you even discussed it with them? My children know what to do with me!! We have discussed it at great length!! I am going to be hard to take care of because I like things done a certain way! I hate not having a way to take myself places and I am not taking orders from my children ! 😂🤣😂

Not living under their rules because “it’s their house!” 😂🤣😂

So I am going to an old folks home! That way if I escape at least my children won’t have to look for me! If I decide to run down the hall screaming fire, my children will be peacefully sleeping at their home. If I decide to catch a snake and let it go in the nurses desk, my children can laugh about it when they call to tell them!

I am looking forward to getting old and senile at least I will have an excuse for acting out!! 😂🤣😂

What is some of the best advice you have ever received?
I think mine was this: you need to be what you want your children to become! I took that literally and tried my best to live by that once I heard it!! I was always thinking about my children and who they would become, I wasn’t always the best example to them. I feel like I raised some great children who has become awesome adults. They may not be perfect but I can say I am proud of each and everyone of them!
