Good afternoon, friends! We have a HUGE announcement to make! We will be switching our business page to a different Facebook account. This will be for multiple reasons, the main one being that it will be much easier to manage and organize orders, messages, and content this way. Once we have everything switched over, we will be PERMANENTLY SHUTTING DOWN this page, so make sure to go follow Stained Glass Stuff to continue getting updates as we work to reopen and begin taking orders again. The move will be rather slow and gradual, but because everyone is stuck at home right now anyway, we hope we will have time to get it done rather quickly.

There some big changes coming (very) slowly but surely to our faux stained glass shop this year that will hopefully be finished before this Christmas season. It's been extremely hard balancing everything else we've had to do this year with the shop (which has always been more of a hobby) and we apologize again for the mess that this year was. A lot this year is going to be different with some ups and down but all of it necessary for the business to move forward. We're so excited to share everything with you guys, and we're very enthusiastic about the new year. Thanks for sticking with us all this time, everyone!

To all of you waiting oh so patiently for your orders, we're so sorry for the delay in pictures and shipments! We have been very overwhelmed this year and are still trying to catch our breath. Thanks so much for your continued patience and we're trying to get everything finished by the end of the week!😅

The Customs Contest is closed everyone, thanks to much to everybody who participated and we will announce the winners sometime tomorrow!

Hopefully soon we will also have new Suncatchers to show all of you but right now our sheets of glass for cutting are inaccessible. 😕 However, we are working it out and using what we have in the meantime. Thank you for your patience!😁

Good Morning everyone and welcome back, we hope you've had an amazing year so far! We took last year off but now we're back and more excited than ever to start making all your favorite faux stained glass products!

We are officially accepting orders and have some announcements to make starting with our Etsy Shop! Go check us out, our shop name is FauxStainedGlassShop.

Along with that we also have an Instagram page which you should definitely see as well. We don't have much up there yet but we plan to add to both pages as much as possible this year and over the course of 2020 as well.

Right now we have a Customs Competition in progress so go down to our last post and comment what you think would be a great custom design (suncatcher, ornament or jar) that we haven't done yet and that you would like to get 50% off!

That said, let the fun begin and start placing orders!😁♥️🍁

With one day left until we open shop, we are VERY excited to start the holiday season! We thought we'd kick things off with another Customs Contest! Alvarez Faux Stained Glass

We are a 100% family run business that hand crafts our ornaments and sun catchers from start to finish. We cut the glass, sand down the sharp edges, draw on designs with special pens and then paint on the colors that make them shine so beautifully. And last but not least, we glue little hangings on and tie the strings.

We began making ornaments in 2014 and before we had perfected it, the process was tedious and painful. Trying to sand down the edges with small pieces of sandpaper, cover them with paint just to be sure they weren’t still sharp and using paintbrushes rather than pens to draw the designs. Since then we’ve gotten it down to a science (we do still have a few problems to work out, of course) , and with a family as large as ours we’re grateful to have the extra time instead of focusing only on work. By this time, our business is mainly run by our third oldest, Lydia with a couple younger siblings as her “employees.” They all love making and selling the ornaments, sun catchers and jars and look forward to meeting some of you in the various craft fairs and bazaars that they attend!
