Ten years ago, we were just a little “framily” that believed an old building in downtown Laurel still had a story left to tell. Together we rolled up our sleeves and brought the Mercantile back to life, not just as a store, but as a place for community, connection, and heirloom wares. Ten years later, here we are again after taking on our biggest project ever by bringing life back into one of Laurel’s most iconic buildings. So much of this process has reminded us of those early days at the Mercantile: long days, big ideas, and a whole lot of folks rallying around us because they love this town too.
