A sweet friend told me this weekend, “you’ve got a great crew rodeoing together. You can just tell how well they work as a team. It’s just a vibe you can see it. It’s awesome ”
Lord did she know what those words meant to me, or that I needed to hear them because we’ve questioned and prayed multiple times on the road if this was where we were supposed to be. we have had a rocky WRCA season, coming so close to punching our ticket to Amarillo so many times but, never quite sealing the deal.
My guys have grown as a team this season and will continue to, highs, lows, and all that comes with the in between. I probably mother the younger ones more than they care for but I know the talent we have and the young men we are helping to mold a piece of their story.
I’ve heard stories of guys getting cut after a head loop miss and that’s personally not something I want to be known for. I want to be the operation where you can see the Lord’s love from the light shining. I want to be known has the operation who took a chance on someone that no one else would give them, the operation who believed in redemption with hard work and integrity, the operation who loved their employees nearly to a fault. I want to be a good part of their testimonies, not a sour one.
That being said, I’m already planning outfits for November and I need these guys to get their act together 😂😘 but I’m glad to know the work we are putting into ourselves is paying off and that we have friends cheering us on along the way.
