Feeling a little behind schedule and it’s always tricky to get back to routines after a month long break - but November will be here sooner than we realize - so better get started.

These familiar themes will, probably, be part of the upcoming November art show. And some new things too, of course!

Last weekend was my birthday. I missed the July Artwalk but “Treasure Island” sold, so that was an extra cherry on my birthday cake 🎂 Thank you!
I imagine the historic welcome sign with hundreds of light bulbs must’ve looked pretty awesome at sundown. Would have loved to have seen it IRL.

“Mundane by day, Spectacular by night”

The 60 ft high electric welcome to Galveston sign. installed 1912 but only lasted a decade or so in the salty air on the Seawall. It had 3000 light bulbs but couldn’t find any photos of what it looked like all lit up. Maybe something like this… ✨

What are you proud of today?

Looking at the calendar, there will be a lot of bragging on the socials this Sunday about who’s blessed with the best mom ever - and that’s alright. Because it’s not bragging if it’s true.

I didn’t paint this one with Mother’s Day in mind. However,it just dawned on me what a great Mother’s Day present this painting would be.

Imagine the reaction of the receiver if you were to gift this painting to a loved one, someone you look up to or someone you appreciate very much?

A best friend, colleague, sibling, parent, you name it 😚
