Who knew that a donkey could capture your heart? I sure wasn't expecting this ornery, spunky little donkey I purchased for $35 from a guy who rescued donkeys to become one of my favorite farm animals. Everyone at the auction barn told me not to get donkeys, but I actually purchased two donkeys from him, Gypsy and Fiona, and then Gypsy had an unexpected foal, Nellie, about seven months after I purchased her....

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our Christmas Market today! ❤️We had a great day, but tomorrow’s weather looks even more fantastic for shopping from local vendors, munching on yummy baked snacks, and sipping tasty coffee! Come shop with your family and friends at our 3rd Annual Christmas Market from 10-4!! ❤️🎅🏻🎄

Come see us at the 3rd Annual Christmas Market at Green Acres! ❤️🎅🏻🎄 It starts two weeks from today and will be open on Friday, December 5, 2025 from 10-5 & Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 10-4!!

**We will be closing a bit early on Saturday so you have plenty of time to attend Lexington on the Square!Note: They added additional hours for the vendors on the square so you have more time to shop! ❤️🤗

I drove home from Houston the other day and found myself on a detour. At first, I was resistant to the new direction my GPS was trying to lead me but, eventually, I drove over a hill and saw the traffic jam I was quickly approaching and took the exit to the detour at the very last minute. Important PSA: The Rusty Coop merchandise will only be available at Fourth Street Mercantile until the end of December, 2024. I have enjoyed my time working there, sharing ideas, and supporting the start up of Fourth Street Mercantile and hope my presence in the store has brightened everyone’s day! Until the end of December, you can still shop at my display on the Lexington Town Square and, while you are there, support all of the amazing local businesses, vendors, and artisans! After that, I will focus my energy on Christmas Markets and occasional markets and pop up shops throughout the year.
