Laundry room design with quartz countertops, plenty of storage, and a little pop of green. Pretty, practical, and proof that hardworking spaces can have personality too.

This is why I love what I do. I love getting to know my clients. How they live, what they love, what drives them crazy about their house, and what would make life just a little bit better.

Then we get to take all of that and turn it into something real. And honestly, the finished space is only part of it. I love the whole process. The job sites, the problem solving, the people I get to work with, and watching all those little decisions slowly turn into a home.

Pretty pictures are definitely a bonus though.

Some design decisions are worth every penny.

When I’m guiding clients through a renovation or new build, these are the investments I recommend time and time again:
• Hiring an interior designer
• Thoughtful space planning
• Natural materials like quartzite
• Quality custom upholstery
• The finishing details that bring a home to life

A beautifully designed home is about investing in the elements that have the greatest impact on how your home looks, feels, and functions for years to come.

Which one would you invest in first?

A primary bathroom designed for a better morning routine.

We removed the wall that was closing in the room and created one long vanity, opening the floor space and improving the flow so two people can comfortably use the bathroom at the same time.

An inset tile detail adds pattern and interest underfoot, while tile extending to the ceiling behind the vanity and tub gives the room a more tailored, architectural presence. Trim molding on the remaining walls ties everything together, making the entire space feel cohesive, intentional, and thoughtfully finished.

Every detail works together to make the room feel more spacious, elegant, and effortless to use.

Once you start noticing the dressmaker details, you can’t unsee them.

The upholstery is custom tailored instead of off the shelf. The drapery is made specifically for the windows. The area rug is the right size for the room. The cabinetry, tile, plumbing, and countertops all relate to one another with intention.

These are the details that quietly shape how a home feels. Most people walk into a room and see the finished product. I see the dressmaker details.

That is the art of home.

The Art of Home lives in the details.

Beautiful homes are never about one statement piece. They’re built through hundreds of thoughtful decisions that come together to create something that simply feels right.

It’s the details that transform a bedroom into a retreat.

Bold. Beautiful. Unapologetically detailed.

This bathroom was designed as a true statement. Layered stone, sculptural lighting, and custom tile work come together to create a space that feels both elevated and inviting.

The artistry is in the details. From the tile layout to the material selections, every element was carefully considered to create a room that feels collected, intentional, and full of character.

At Sally Barton Interiors, we believe the most memorable homes are built through thoughtful design and exceptional craftsmanship.

A guest space designed to feel considered, not collected.

Vintage pieces bring history. Custom elements are designed for the space. Together, they create a layered story that feels personal and impossible to replicate.
