This may be a new-build home, but the office was still missing character and that finished, cozy feeling.

This work-from-home couple had us complete these custom bookshelves to fill an awkward nook, warm up the room, and make the space feel much more intentional.

Our favorite part? It’s actually a Murphy bed.

This entire wall transforms when guests come to stay, turning the office into a guest room without sacrificing everyday function. The family also uses this space as a board game room, so the storage underneath is perfect for puzzles, games, and all those random pieces that need a home.

We had someone come to us with an awkward space above their coffee bar. They wanted something simple, warm, and a little country, so we landed on these easy floating shelves.

Their main floor was feeling pretty bare, and this gave them a spot to decorate, add character, and create a functional space that still matched the rest of their home.

Fixes for awkward spaces don’t always have to be complicated. Sometimes less really is more.

What was a custom wall of built-ins also transforms into a guest bed, making this room work in a whole new way for the family. This Murphy bed allows the space to function as a home office and playroom most of the time, while still being ready for overnight guests when needed.

That is the kind of flexibility we love designing for. A room does not have to be locked into just one purpose to feel beautiful and intentional. With the right design, it can work hard for everyday life and still be ready when family or friends come to stay.

This project has been especially fun because it is not just about adding storage. It is about helping this family make better use of the space they already have, while creating a room that feels finished, functional, and welcoming.

We love helping families make their homes feel more functional, more beautiful, and more finished.

This custom build was designed for a family who needed one room to serve multiple purposes: work-from-home office, playroom, and guest room. We created a full wall of built-in storage and shelving to maximize the space, and one of our favorite parts is that it also includes a Murphy bed so the room can easily transform when guests come to stay. Yes, there’s a bed behind those beautiful bookshelves.

We’re also helping bring the room together through the decor and styling process. As we finish this space, we’re working with decor the family already had tucked away in storage but never had room to use. It’s been fun helping them place those pieces on the shelves in a way that gives the room personality, warmth, and a more finished feel.

Real life needs spaces that can flex, and that is exactly the kind of project we love.
