Kafka’s Head, Prague 🌀🖤
A little surreal, a little mesmerizing—and constantly changing. Just like a Kafka story. ✨✨ TRAVEL TIP ✨
If you go, time it to arrive just before the hour ⏰ — so you can watch Kafka’s Head disassemble… and magically reassemble! 🌀

From Jodhpur to Miami—

When I come across a vintage Indian piece, I always find myself wondering about its journey…
who the artisan was, patiently carving and painting it, and who brought it across the seas to a place like this.

A horse that feels even more fitting in the Year of the Horse Horse.

In my twenties, I went to America for grad school.
“Holy cow!” someone would say.
Just an exclamation — nothing to do with reverence, or real cows.
People often asked me,
“Do cows really walk freely on Indian streets?”
Yes — they do.

Now in my fifties, I’m back home for a visit.
Everything feels the same…
including the cows.

We love strings here at Mayil! 💛 Growing up in India, we called it piping — made from fabric remnants to embellish our clothes. Now, I use these strings as a gift tie, a wrist wrap with a charm, or whatever my creativity envisions! I like to call it my very own string theory! ✨
