Another day another log with my little man! Before we started we did some maintenance and this thing is cutting pure now! Hopefully only one or two logs to go before we can move on to building the chicken run.

I’ve been wanting to try to make new things in the shop so I made this set of spatulas to go with this wavy cutting board. Replacing plastic utensils in the kitchen while using up wood in my scrap pile sounds like a win win to me!

One of my favorite pieces I’ve ever made! We originally wanted to repurpose an older antique mantle but couldn’t find anything that fit this space, so I decided to build one. I had no build plans but found elements that I liked from pictures of other mantles and started cutting through my stash of walnut until I came up with this.

My take on a rustic farmhouse table with proper mortise and tenon breadboards. Red Oak top protected by a satin polyurethane and a pine base painted white with custom turned legs. I think it looks good in its forever home, Lord knows I don’t want to have to move it again!

This is not my typical wood working project but it did use some wood! We repurposed these pavers we had laying around and I created a border with 4x4s and filled in the gaps with decorative gravel. The solar lights were just the cherry on top!
