Our 3D Prints began with on our own enjoyment of vacation memories - places we would like to see and the memories behind them. We got our start with Disney, buying Disney Vacation Club back in 1993, when Old Key West was their only
resort. 20 vacations later, our whole family was hooked - from our wedding at the Grand Californian Hotel, to Zoe's first visit to Disneyland at 4 days old, Lily's fi
rst scoot at Animal Kingdom Lodge, to their first
parentless outings in Disneyland. We wanted our art to appeal to the loyal enthusiasts of memorable
vacations and family fun - something Disney surely creates! Ian wanted to find a way to turn his 3D printing hobby into a business. Sure, there were folks that we're making 3D prints of interesting city architecture, like New York and Chicago, but we decided to start with theme parks. For families of all varieties, life's greatest events stand out. Where you married, your home town, the workplace where you spent the last 40 years, your alma mater, trips to the lake, beach house, or resort, are all places that mean something to us. How about that first baseball, football, or sporting event you attended? The place you proposed? Even heritage sites can have personal meaning. For Disney Fans, it's more than just a memory. Your "Firsts" are what matters most - visits, being told "Welcome Home!" at your new DVC Home Resort, that time you walked down Main Street, saw Spaceship Earth, or left the planet for Batuu. These are what drives the emotional attraction that Disney and those related parks bring to families like ours. If we can share that feeling with others, then we're successful. If we can encourage others to spread
some of that love to the families served by Give Kids the World- our company's
selected charity, then that's the gravy on the mashed potatoes.
