Found at my local thrift store for $2.99. I couldn't leave him! The cashier was an older woman who squealed and hugged him and turned to tell the other cashiers excitedly what I found, only to have them look at her like "what is that thing?" We're Don Bluth fans for my kids were very happy. šŸ™‚

I found this oil painting at a yard sale yesterday. I casually asked the seller how much they wanted for it and they said $35!! You guys, this thing is huge. Over 3.5 feet tall and nearly 3ft wide. I have no idea where Iā€™m going to put it but at that price couldnā€™t pass it up!! No artist name on the front or back, but I love it regardless.
UPDATE: Thank you to those who provided helpful info as the origin of this painting!! To those wondering - it is a painting (not a print) on canvas, that is likely 20-40 years old, and probably came from Dafen, China where thousands of artists paint reproductions of famous works of art.

I saw this Danbury Mint Pillsbury Doughboy spice rack posted online at an estate sale this past weekend but sadly the sale started Friday morning after I had to be at work. I figured it would be long gone since I couldnā€™t go until Saturday afternoon. But lo and behold it was up on the wall just waiting for me and half price ($60) at that point. I grabbed it quick and took it home. I think itā€™s adorable but my kids thinks itā€™s weird that spices would be in an ā€œurnā€.

Given to us when our Grandparents house was sold. The dark brown ceramic thing is a heating element similar to old car cigarette lighters. The can with a lid is for you ci******es. Two ashtrays. Going to re-wire it and convert the lighting to LED so, all the glass glows. You can see the switch for turning the inside light off and on.

In the category of ā€œI can totally make thatā€ I saw a jewelry vendor in Lake Placid who had taken an old lamp and stripped the fabric off of the shade and used the bones of the lampshade to hang all of her different jewelry and I thought I could do it.
The thrifted lampshade I found didnā€™t have quite enough bones in it so I had to do some creative wiring, another thrift grab of a sturdy lamp base and then I ripped out the electrical stuff, and viola! I like the way it came out, it still needs a little more work.
And yes, I am aware that I have an earring problem.
