Cat won’t clean himself post p*e or poo
^ I did get rid of the bars and the top that is not connected to litter box today to see if that changes anything

Hello, I have had a kitten for over a month now he is now 3 months old and I think a boy. I haven’t brought him to the vet to get neutered yet. if necessary I’d be willing to go to a vet.

anyway, my cat when I first got him he would always have a little p**p in his butt but no problem with p*e. as of late though, whenever he p*es his entire genitalia is covered in p**s and he always ends up with p*e on his paws too but no problems with poo now. I thought the p*e on his paws was because his litter box was too small so I bought the biggest size I could 24 in x 15 in but since getting it he now only p*es or poos in the front of the litter box in a corner so he still has the same problem. also when I put 2 inches of litter he’d come out with litter all over his genitalia so I lowered the amount I think it’s a little less than an inch

its gotten so bad his p*e is literally everywhere. please give me any suggestions on how to fix this

edit: first time owning a kitten didn’t know this was normal. Thanks for all the helpful comments tho!

please help, growing mass on nose
this is our cat winston, he is a sweetheart. he always had a black spot on his nose but it was flat with his nose, totally benign. in the past couple months it suddenly expanded, and the vet told us they couldn't do anything because it's his nose and it's too sensitive.

i am really worried because it has grown more. he shows no symptoms at all, eats/drinks like normal, and is happy and normal behavior as always. but i am too worried.

he is currently 9 years old, im in florida, and he has been neutered since a baby. any advice is appreciated 🙏😢

Roommates Cat
My roommates cat, always has her little tongue poking out of her mouth and three months ago when we moved in together i noticed that her breath is FOUL. Like an abnormal stink, cats breaths usually stink but this smell was really bad. After further inspection of her mouth I discovered that she is missing many teeth and the remaining teeth she does have looks very unhealthy with a receding gum line, as well as very obvious irritation and swelling. Her cat doesn’t display any signs that she’s in pain, I have noticed while eating, that she does have difficulty with chewing, and drops a lot of food and kind of scoops food into her mouth with her paw. She only really eats wet food, unless she starts eating my cats dry food. I googled it and cats are supposed to have 30 teeth and to me it looks like this cat has like 6.
She is also fairly young, like 2 or 3. So it isn’t an elderly cat.
I’m also wondering if what’s going on with her mouth can relate to behavioral issues? she seems to p*e on things all the time, (like bathroom mats, clothes, towels) which is honestly really unfortunate because the smell affects the apartment. I know this isn’t a dirty litterbox thing because i have an automatic litterbox that gets cleaned right after a cat goes and she will p**p in the litter box. It’s only issues with urination. She also acts like she is starving and seems like she could eat food forever if she wasn’t stopped. Im hoping someone can tell me if they know what this issue could be?

Outdoor cat crying
Hello everyone,

This orange cat has been coming to eat at our house occasionally for over a year or two. He seems to be a senior. He always looks sad.

Today, he was crying in front of our door wanting to come inside. On my block, we have a group of feral cats. He’s a stray and not a feral cat. I have two cats at home so I can’t bring him in.

Do I take him to the vet? To the shelter to see if he’s chipped? Is it recommended to take him off the streets if he’s lived outside for so long?

I’m 24, US, vet accessible but can’t afford full treatments on a stray.

i want to steal a cat.. hear me out
Hello, last month we had a cat sitting outside our door every day for hours. He kept waiting outside, was extremely affectionate, and clearly wanted to come inside. We also noticed live worms hanging from his a**s. Eventually, we called the animal ambulance. The cat was not microchipped, and they put a stray cat collar on him with our phone number for a week so the owners could contact us if he belonged to someone. We never received any response.

Because of this, we eventually took him inside and first brought him to the vet to check if he was otherwise healthy. It turned out that he indeed had worms, an infection in his left ear, and was also underweight. He only weighed 3.5 kg, despite being a male cat of around 3–4 years old.

When the owners eventually picked him up, they told us they were already aware of his ear problem because he often had wounds there. They also claimed he had already been given deworming treatment. However, just three days later, we again saw live worms hanging from him, which made us question whether the issue had actually been properly treated.

We took care of him for three weeks until the owners finally contacted us after finding their cat on Amivedi. They came to pick him up and told us he was a farm cat, saying: “We don’t love our cats, they are purely for catching mice.” Honestly, that did not give me a good feeling about returning him.

The owners live only about 500 meters away from us, so the cat still comes by every single day. We have noticed that he is becoming skinny again, so we still feed him daily. We also noticed that he was scratching constantly. When we combed him with a flea comb, I removed 13 fleas — and that was not even all of them. Because he was clearly suffering from it, we gave him flea treatment.

I genuinely want to ask: would this be considered neglect? In my opinion, this cat does not seem to be receiving the care he needs, especially considering his condition, underweight state, parasites, ear infection, and the fact that he keeps coming back to us every day. (i'm not a minor and i can afford vet costs in the netherlands)

Vet emergency- Maple
Update: She didn't make it. I don't really want to go into detail right now because it just happened.

Edit: There are quite a few great suggestions here, and I'm going to try as much of them as I can. I was able to get her to eat a churu, as soon as I squeezed it into a dish she was immediately on it. Going to try to crowd fund and find the cheapest option possible to get her seen by a professional. Don't worry, I would never bathe her in this condition, I don't think she could maintain body heat with how emaciated she is. I'd worry about making things worse. I also know hydrogen peroxide is a nono. Thank you all so much, seriously

Please help! Advice on resources?! I'm in the southern United States.

Our 7 year old (spayed) indoor cat Maple slipped outside a week ago and had been missing since. We finally found her down our street in this horrible condition. She is insanely skinny, seems to have injuries on her back feet, and infested with fleas. We've been trying to gently get her to eat wet kitten food to get any strength back, as well as providing water. Normally, we would get her to the emergency vet. However, we just got done paying medical bills and are in an extremely low fund situation. We cannot even afford the deposit the emergency vet requires this weekend. I'm terrified she won't last through the weekend. Is there anything I can do?

Are we feeding her too much??
We found a kitten at 4 weeks old in a tire with no mama anywhere (took her to vet immediately they said she’s healthy), we’ve had her for 3 weeks now and bottle fed her till about 2 weeks ago when we started weaning and transitioning to wet food. Shes about 1-1/2lbs at 7 weeks old so we’ve been giving her about a can and a half of wet food a day. She eats all of it immediately and acts like she’s never eaten in her life so sometimes we’ll give her a bit more, but I’m wondering if we’re overfeeding her? Does she look overweight in this pic??

What is this?
For context, my boyfriend's family has an outdoor cat that has had 3 litters. Her most recent litter has a kitten who has had concerning eye issues but it recently got way worse when we lost sight of him. His family is financially stable and can afford it, but the dad is hesitant to bring the kitten to the vet. I am a minor and cannot pay for vet costs myself, but I will do whatever I can to get the kitten help

The kitten is around 3 weeks old. This kitten looked fine when I first found him. When we lost sight of him for a day, I found him with both eyes swollen shut and he was panting. His eyes are still very swollen. I had suspected an upper respiratory infection until I realized he was put in a very damp and dirty place by the mother cat and his eyes got worse. Can someone help identify what's happening to him? I'm trying my best but I do feel like something is really wrong.

For more information:

I live in america, and my boyfriend's family is near myrtle beach

If anyone could reccomend rescue shelters or foster homes for this kitten, I would appreciate that so much! I am long distance and I cant bring this kitten home with me.

Edit: I got him an appointment for 4:30 today! My boyfriend and I will be taking him.

Took him outside for two minutes and now his eye looks like this
My cat has just been outside, on a leash, with me for two minutes, and now his eye looks like this.
What could it be?

Edit: he’s 1 year old, neutered, is an indoor only cat (practicing on going outside). Located in Denmark

Update: his eye was back to normal in the evening, thank you all for the advice. Kitty is doing well

I don’t know why she does this?
I’m 25. This is Masha.
She started standing like this about a year ago? I thought her paw had been injured and I went to squeeze it a bit to see if she would react. She hasn’t shown any signs of pain and she walks/runs fine but I’m hoping this is just a quirk she does and nothing serious.

I got her during the pandemic as a baby so she’s maybe 4-5?
Debating if I need to take her to the vet so I decided to come here before I do for some help.

Is she pergrante?
Noticed today there were bumps on her belly. It were here tiddies and they were bigger than normal. She has been neutered recently thats why her belly is shaved.
