Portugal (Part 2!) - Parts & bits of Sintra that inspired me.

Vibrant colors, whimsical tiles…a touch of this & a tad of that, everything goes!

I spent the most amount of time studying the blue building façade with the sea monster - How do you mix azure & pink floral tiles, stone veneer, coral, shell, grapevine… and still achieve coherence? It works & what’s more, it holds my interest.

Portugal (Part 1): Porto

Gothic cloisters & azulejos tiles, Neoclassical, Baroque, Art Nouveau… all in one city. Old & new, perfect & imperfect in harmony. Terracotta rooftops stacked on top of each other, vibrant tiles, laundry lines, and a rooftop terrace we didn’t want to leave.
