If this sounds familiar to you, this is my reminder to us all to not get so stuck in the extreme feelings. That we do not have to feel either crippled by anxiety or incredibly proud every morning. That we get to create space between our current selves and the parts of our brain that want to take charge and demand all the attention while invalidating other realities. That this journey gets to be more nuanced and that inconsistency is human whether we like it or not. We deserve to hold tight to these reminders.

I love making candles, but for me it's not a hobby or a craft project I do on the weekends. It's a business I've poured my heart into for 6 years. It's something I've built from scratch and learned how to do every aspect of on my own. It's one of the hardest and most gratifying things I've ever done and while I have so much more to learn, I'm pretty confident in what I've built and the direction I'm taking it.

Natural ≠ better. (Sometimes!)

Let me explain. We strive to create the "cleanest" burning candles on the market and we use synthetic fragrance oils to do so. Synthetic fragrances can absolutely be a 🚩 and there is a wide range in quality on the market. Many fragrances contain cancer causing ingredients, hormone disruptors and irritants that can cause headaches, worsen asthma, etc.

We think you deserve better.

Our candles are made with incredibly high quality fragrances that meet the most rigorous standards in the industry, and are free from toxins, pthalates and carcinogens.

So why are they a better option than essential oils? Essential oils are mainly tested and meant for use topically and in diffusers, not burned in a candle. They aren't as stable as synthetic fragrances and don't perform well or consistently in candles which means you won't get a consistent scent throw. Plus, some essential oils can be toxic to pets, so we're not interested in taking that risk.
