✨ Why “Just The Hem”? ✨

The name Just The Hem is inspired by the story in the Bible where a woman, desperate for healing, reached out in faith just to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment—and was made whole (Matthew 9:20-22). That small touch held power, hope, and transformation.

As someone who sews, I see a beautiful connection. Every hem, every stitch, every detail is small—but meaningful. Like that hem, what may seem small in our hands can carry great purpose when done in love and faith.

I can’t sit at my sewing machine and not think of my Mamaw, Ann. Her love for sewing and her gentle, creative spirit are still with me. I feel so close to her while I sew and I think of her with every stitch.

I’ve decided to start selling some of my sewing projects! This summer, I plan to set up at the LC Farmer’s Market, and I’m also considering offering items here on Facebook as well.

I’m still learning and growing as a maker, but each piece is crafted with care and love. Thank you for supporting this little step of faith with me—I can’t wait to share more with you all!
