🍯🍅 6 Easy Homemade Sauces You’ll Always Want in Your Kitchen
Fresh, flavorful, and way better than store-bought—these sauces will upgrade any meal instantly!
🍅 1️⃣ Marinara Sauce
Ingredients:
2 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion (finely chopped)
3 garlic cloves (minced)
1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tsp sugar
1/4 cup fresh basil (chopped)
Instructions:
Heat oil and sauté onion until soft (about 5 mins).
Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
Stir in tomatoes and seasonings.
Simmer on low for 20–30 mins.
Add basil at the end. Blend if you want it smooth.

🍖 2️⃣ Barbecue Sauce
Ingredients:
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp molasses
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp cayenne (optional)
1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
Combine everything in a saucepan.
Bring to a simmer, then cook 15–20 mins until slightly thick.
Taste and adjust sweetness, tang, or heat.
Cool and store in the fridge (up to 2 weeks).

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup heavy cream
2 cups Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
2–3 garlic cloves (minced)
Salt & black pepper
Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Instructions:
Melt butter and lightly sauté garlic.
Add cream and simmer for 3–4 minutes.
Lower heat and whisk in Parmesan until smooth.
Season and serve immediately.

Ingredients:
2 cups fresh basil
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup Parmesan

Instructions:
Blend basil, nuts, and garlic.
Slowly add olive oil until smooth.

Ingredients:
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp honey

2 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients except slurry in a saucepan.
Bring to a gentle boil.
Add cornstarch slurry and cook 1–2 mins until thick.
Cool and store.
🌶️ 6️⃣ Buffalo Sauce
Ingredients:
1/2 cup hot sauce
1/2 cup butter
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp paprika (optional)
1/4 tsp cayenne (optional)
Instructions:
Melt butter on low heat (don’t boil).
Whisk in hot sauce and spices.
Simmer 2–3 minutes until smooth.
Cool slightly and store.
