When I made this little vase, I couldn’t picture using it. I didn’t think it was particularly “good”. Now I use it all the time. I think it’s the perfect size and shape. It’s so strange how my feelings about my own work changes over time. Everything I make, as soon as I make it, all I see are the flaws. I frequently want to dump it in the trash. But if I give it time, I fall in love with it. This is just one example of that.
