Cro-Shae A one-person, LGBTQIA2S+ owned small business in MN specialized in handmade fiber art

10/08/2026

Hello my lovelies,

This is Shae, the owner and sole operator of Cro-Shae - nice to meet you if we haven’t already 🙂. It is after much thought and review of the last year and some change, that I have made the decision to close Cro-Shae as an operating business.

Unfortunately, I don’t have the time to devote to this as a source of income and I don’t make enough things in my spare time to really sell at different events. But, don’t be discouraged, I’m still going to be making things but returning to why I started this venture: as an outlet for my creativity and to give back to the community.

I appreciate the love and support you have shown me, and the encouragement, it really means so much to small businesses to be supported by their friends and neighbors (near and far).

With that, I leave you with peace, love, and nary a misplaced stitch marker.

Sincerely,
Cro-Shae

Awkward update time…because I’m that good taking pictures of my work 👍🙃

After about a month of off and on work, the 10 point star blanket is done! No it hasn’t been washed/blocked yet, but already it’s bigger than a standard queen size bed 😅

Can’t wait to see how big the next project is

Well, now that it’s off to a forever home, I am happy to share my latest project. A truly one of a kind (because free handed 90% of it) hanging flower pot holder.

I wasn’t really sure what direction to go when I was asked to make it, but by spite and trust in the process something really beautiful came out!

Commissions are open so if there’s something you’re curious about let me know!

When you have 6 extra skeins of yarn that you are not vibing with, so you start making a Christmas present. Started as a five point star, and now we’ve shifted to a ten point. The final result, to be seen.

Since I don’t do videos of my work, as I work, I’ve decided that with this particular project I’ll be updating as I finish a skein. We have finished one and started a second. The additional points are actually coming through and it makes me intrigued…

Edit 2: We finished (and started) the next rows. Sitting at 44.5” [roughly] from an original corner to an original corner. We still have 5 skeins of yarn to go- so who know how big it’ll end up before the bordering 😅

I have so far left to go on this experiment. I’ve only made one wearable so far and I made it too small, now I’m making one for me and it’s taking forever!

Oh hey there hi there ho there!

I know I’ve fallen off the face of the earth for a hot minute- dealing with life and work and just a low amount of inspiration, but I’m still here and still making things.

Recently I’ve made a star blanket (a major trust the process) and I have a few large things on the hooks.

Happy pride month - keep your hearts full and enjoy the colors of love!

Raising funds for the community is always a blessing, regardless of if I am crocheting or just being able to attend. If you’re going to be in the Twin Cities on June 6th - highly recommend going and showing support for local designers and the community at large
