Having fun in the studio!

Two paintings that started the same way… messy! 😂
Reminders written into these paintings are faith can move mountains. He can move mountains.

Nothing is impossible, growth is still possible, beauty is still possible, miracles are still possible…even when you are in the valley… the desert. He is there with you.

Both of these are coming to Flagstaff with me over Labor Day weekend.

“Rest in Me”

I painted this one in a season when everything was pulling at me at once.

Too many directions. Too many good things. Not enough of me to go around.

So I put down the full palette and my full schedule. Just a handful of colors. Nothing more than what was needed.

That’s what the Lord was asking of me..to simplify. Rest. Stop striving in every direction and be still in one.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

If you’re carrying too much right now , if you’ve been saying yes until there’s nothing left …this one is for you.

You don’t have to hold it all together to be held. Be Still and Know He is God.

As we go into our 3rd and final day here at Art Santa Fe I am just so thankful and grateful to have been a part. It was an honor to be one of the 5 spotlighted artists.
Loved meeting so many amazing artists and wonderful people.
