We have some new friends to welcome 👋 — we’re so happy you found our little corner of IG! Thanks for following along as we help our color-loving clients create their dream homes coast to coast.

I founded Courtney B. Smith Design in 2009, after 12 years on Wall Street in Equity Derivative Sales. I truly loved my first career (at least that’s the story, and I’m sticking’ to it 😎), but craved a creative path and opened my studio to do professionally what I’d been doing personally for years: make homes.

I waited a long time to build out my team, but is proof that good things come to those who wait. 🎀 We’ve recently quietly added more brains BTS than either of us deserve, and when that 🐯 is ready to be out of the bag, I’ll introduce her, too. Needless to say: this is not a one-woman show, and we’re so much better together than I ever was solo. 🙏

We’re love connecting — thanks for being here — we appreciate you! 💕

PS: 📸 I’m grateful to for her lens, her friendship, and her support … we met on Wall Street over 25 years ago, and the rest is history 💫

And beyond blessed to have the BEST of the best in my mom (aka Mimi … who’s still gently teaching me how to MOTHER) and my MIL (aka Grammie … who raised an almost-perfect son 😉). ❤️💐🙏

WIP at … we’re giving this beautiful property a bit of love – refreshed entry hall, living room and office, a couple of bathroom remodels … and some general TLC throughout. ⁠

We like to set the stage for a home’s style at the front door, and this transformative entry hall wallpaper is a hint at things we’ve selected (spoiler alert: Talavera by makes another appearance close by!). ⁠
