Small studio update from my crochet world 🧶

Lately my evenings have been a mix of yarn, new ideas, and a lot of tiny plush creatures.

A few fun updates:

• My infamous crochet peens are being sold exclusively at HEA Book Boutique
• I’ll be at Cedar Rapids Pride (June 27) with new patterns, pride, turtles, and other friends!

One thing about running a handmade business is that scaling is… slow. Everything is made stitch by stitch.

But there’s something magical about seeing a pile of yarn slowly turn into a whole little world of creatures.

Honestly, I wouldn’t trade it.

One of the reasons I love making custom peens like this is because it lets me truly play with yarn the way a potter plays with clay. There’s something deeply satisfying about shaping, sculpting, and letting the material guide the final form—it’s not just crochet, it’s soft sculpture.

As I reflect on the last 12 months, I have to chuckle because what a wild ride. While the start of the year was slow, I kept making plushy p***ses for HEA Book Boutique—which somehow turned into… mostly making plushy p***ses.
Then the Pride festival happened and I sold out of my plushies peens!
Then people started pointing and going, “Hey! It’s the p***s plushy lady!” 😅🍆

What began as a side hustle became a wild, joyful, slightly unhinged ride—and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. These cheeky little creations have made people laugh, blush, feel seen, and celebrate themselves, and that means more to me than I can say.

Thank you to everyone who bought one, gifted one, laughed with me, hyped me up, or told their friends.
Here’s to another year of bold stitches, joyful chaos, and p***ses that bring people joy.
