Featured Product of the Week: Velvet Meadow Suite (167917)

We’re wrapping up the week with another card filled with heartfelt thoughts, prayers, and love.

Using the same soft color palette as yesterday’s card, I added a unique twist by creating a folded arch card with the Everyday Arches Dies. The secret is simple: position the die so that the cutting edge extends beyond one side of the folded cardstock. This leaves part of the fold intact and creates the shaped card base.

A few simple layers, a meaningful sentiment, and the beautiful die-cut flowers from the Velvet Meadow Suite are all it takes to create a card that feels both elegant and special.

It’s always fun to find new ways to use our dies beyond their intended purpose!

Featured Product of the Week: Velvet Meadow Suite (167917)

The cool, soft colors on today’s card make it one of my favorites from this week’s collection.

This is another fairly simple design, allowing the heartfelt sentiment to take center stage. A few die-cut floral accents from the suite frame the sentiment beautifully and add just the right touch of elegance without overwhelming the design.

Sympathy cards are never cards we enjoy needing, but they are often among the most meaningful cards we send. Sometimes a simple, thoughtful design says exactly what words alone cannot.

I love how this card balances beauty, softness, and sincerity.

Featured Product of the Week: Velvet Meadow Suite (167917)

Today’s card is a little more involved than the first two projects this week, but still comes together beautifully.
I started with the Eyelet Blooms background die, which was my Product of the Month last month. To add some contrast, I layered a strip of another Velvet Meadow DSP design down the left side of the card and separated the two sections with Barely Blush Bordered Ribbon. While Barely Blush isn’t one of the suite’s coordinating colors, I love how softly it complements the florals.

For the focal point, I used one of the stitched scallop dies from the Scallop Blooms Dies as a foundation for a floral arrangement created with both stamped images and die cuts from the suite. The sentiment was added to one of the smaller circles from the Spotlight on Nature Dies, tying everything together.

This card is a great example of how a few extra layers and textures can add depth while still letting the beautiful florals shine.

Featured Product of the Week: Velvet Meadow Suite (167917)

Today I’m showcasing another design from the Velvet Meadow DSP that easily stands on its own as the star of the card.

I forgot to mention yesterday that this is actually Specialty DSP, meaning portions of the floral designs have a soft velvet texture—hence the name Velvet Meadow! It’s one of those papers that’s even more beautiful in person.

For today’s stepped-up version, I kept things simple by adding one of the Spotlight on Nature circle dies to help ground the floral focal image. Instead of heat embossing the sentiment, I stamped it directly onto the DSP.
One of the things I love most about this paper is how versatile it is. You can create a quick and simple card or add a few extra details for a more layered design, and both versions are equally beautiful.

Tell me—which do you prefer? Clean and simple cards, or projects with a few extra layers and details? The best part is there’s no wrong answer!

Featured Product of the Week: Velvet Meadow Suite (167917)

You may have heard me say once or twice that I absolutely love Designer Series Paper (DSP)—especially when it’s so beautiful that it does all the heavy lifting for you! That’s exactly how I feel about the Velvet Meadow DSP from the Velvet Meadow Suite.

Today I’m sharing two cards that prove you don’t need a lot of layers or techniques to create something stunning.

The first card is as simple as it gets: one piece of DSP trimmed to size, matted on coordinating cardstock, and finished with a sentiment heat embossed directly onto the paper. Add a few embellishments—or leave it as is—and you have a beautiful card ready to send.

For the stepped-up version, I added a few die-cut elements from the suite along with coordinating ribbon. The result is another gorgeous card that looks like it took hours to create, even though it comes together quickly and easily.
Sometimes beautiful paper is all you need!

Featured Product: Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite (167562)

Since we’re right in the middle of wedding season, I thought I’d end the week with another wedding card—one that feels both elegant and whimsical.

I love the combination of the two polka-dot patterns from the suite: the smaller black-and-white print paired with the larger Pool Party design.

To help ground the focal point, I added the black frame die from the suite and layered it behind the flowers from the Lovely Arrangements Bundle.

This card came together exactly as I envisioned it—just the right balance of sophistication and playfulness. It feels like the perfect card for celebrating a couple as they begin their new journey together.

Featured Product: Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite (167562)

Yellow isn’t usually a color I reach for when creating, but I absolutely love how today’s card turned out.
The bold Daffodil Delight honeycomb pattern paired with the black-and-white herringbone design creates a cheerful backdrop for the sponged rose image from the Covered in Flowers Accents. Did you notice the transition between the two patterned papers? That’s one of the beautiful border dies included in the suite.

I’m guessing I’ll be reaching for those border dies again and again because they add that perfect little extra touch without overwhelming the design.

I think this card would make a lovely wedding card filled with best wishes for a happy future. What do you think?

Featured Product: Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite (167562)

The large leaf pattern in the Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite DSP immediately made me think of Nature’s Symphony—another favorite of mine, as you’ve probably noticed by now! I paired it with the 2026–2028 In Color Painted Patterns DSP in Peaceful Pine for a nature-inspired color combination.
For added texture and interest, I used one of my go-to techniques: torn strips of patterned paper layered along the side of the card. A small piece of Peaceful Pine Bordered Ribbon tucked behind the sentiment finished it off perfectly.
The result is a versatile birthday card that works beautifully for either men or women.

Featured Product: Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite (167562)

One of the things I love most about this suite is how versatile it is. Yesterday’s card was light and playful, while today’s card takes on a much more thoughtful feel. This “Sorry” card could work as either an apology card or a sympathy card, depending on the message you choose to add inside.

I used the Eyelet Blooms Die (a former Product of the Month selection) with one of the black-and-white DSP patterns and layered it under a colorful watercolor wash shape created with the Party Banners Dies. It’s a subtle detail in the photo, but I also added one of the Scalloped Blooms Dies behind the floral arrangement from one of my favorite bundles, Lovely Arrangements, to help anchor the focal point.

Featured Product: Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite (167562)

Whenever Stampin’ Up! releases a black-and-white DSP, it almost always finds its way into my cart. I love how versatile black and white patterns are—you can pair them with virtually any color and instantly create a completely different look.

The Beautiful Ordinary Life Suite was no exception. For today’s card, I used the small tag dies from the suite along with the butterfly image stamped three times to create this sweet Hello card. It may be hard to see in the photo, but I used one of the new Shimmer Brushes to add a touch of Crisp Cantaloupe to the butterflies. It’s a subtle detail, but it adds just the right amount of sparkle and color.
