Good morning! 💜

Today is officially setup day for Matthews Alive, and I have to admit… I have a little bit of that excited/nervous feeling going on! 😂

I've spent the last few days getting everything ready, including finishing up some of my Halloween pieces and getting all of those little price tags attached. Now it's time to load everything up and turn an empty booth into Wreath and Vine Designs by Charlene!

Setup starts this afternoon, so today is going to be BUSY. But I'm so excited to see all of these handmade pieces together in one place.

One of my favorite things about creating for Halloween is that I don’t have to make everything scary.

Sometimes I want a little sass. Sometimes a little sparkle. Sometimes something that makes you smile when you walk past it. 🖤🎃

That’s what I love about the Halloween pieces I’ve been creating this year. Each one seems to develop its own personality while I’m working on it.

And honestly… Jake has attitude. 😂
Buzzard is definitely up to something.
And Moonlit Mischief? Well, the name says it all. 🕷️🌙

I handcraft every piece myself, and those little personalities are one of the reasons I love what I do so much.

One of the things I love most about creating is that no two pieces have to look alike. 💜

Some designs pull you straight into the warm colors of fall, while others are all about soft blues, delicate flowers, and a little bit of whimsy.

This one is definitely on the softer side, and I have to admit… I love the way all of these colors came together. 💙

Matthews Alive is almost here! 🎉

After all the designing, creating, photographing, pricing, packing, and yes… a few “what the heck am I doing?” moments 😂… it's finally getting real!

I'm getting everything ready to bring Wreath and Vine Designs by Charlene to Matthews Alive this weekend, and I can't wait to see my handmade pieces out there in person and meet the people who have been following along with me.

There will be lots of one-of-a-kind wreaths, seasonal décor, and handmade pieces to see — and I'm still working like crazy to get everything ready!

Good morning, friends! 💜

Yesterday was a VERY important day in my Matthews Alive preparations!

My husband and I decided to do a practice setup of the tent, grids and booth display before the actual setup day—and I am SO glad we did! 😳😂

We discovered that the canopy on my new tent is just 3 inches shorter than my original tent, which meant my grids weren't going to fit the way I needed them to.

Thankfully, we figured it out at home instead of discovering it when we arrived at the show! We ended up putting the new canopy onto the frame from my original tent, and it worked out perfectly. 🙌

This is exactly why I'm a believer in doing a practice run!

Now I know the tent and grids will work, and I can concentrate on getting all of my designs into the booth and making everything pretty. 💜

Have you ever done a “test run” of something and discovered a problem that would have been a HUGE headache if you hadn't checked beforehand?

Well…another day of Matthews Alive prep is almost in the books! 😂💜

I’ve been looking at my inventory a little differently today—not just as individual wreaths and arrangements, but as a collection.

There will be Halloween pieces, fall designs, patriotic pieces, florals, signs, centerpieces, and some of those one-of-a-kind designs that are hard to put into any particular category. 😂

That’s actually one of my favorite things about what I create. You never quite know what you’re going to find when you walk into my booth.

And with the show getting closer, I’m getting really excited to see everything together.

I’d love to know…

When you walk into a craft show, what catches your eye first—the big statement pieces, seasonal décor, wreaths, or the smaller things you can pick up as a little treat for yourself? 💜

I may have to keep that in mind while I’m putting my booth together!

Good afternoon! 💜

Today is officially one of those “get everything organized so I can actually breathe” days around here. 😂

Matthews Alive is getting closer, and I’m working my way through the designs I’ll be bringing to Booth #24—getting my show list finalized, working on price tags, and making sure I have everything ready for a busy weekend.

One thing I’ve learned from doing shows is that there are SO many little details behind the scenes that nobody sees once everything is set up and looking pretty. 😆

But that’s part of the fun, too. Seeing all of these handmade pieces together in one place is going to make all the work worth it!

I’ll be sharing some behind-the-scenes pieces of the process this week as I get ready.

Okay, I have to admit something…

I’m having a hard time choosing favorites from my Halloween collection! 😂🖤🧡

There are so many different personalities in my Halloween creations—some are spooky, some are whimsical, some have a little glam, and some just make me smile.

And then there are these two little guys who were hanging out in my workshop keeping me company! 😂💀

This is what my workspace looks like when I’m in the middle of creating and getting ready for a big show. There may not always be room to see the top of my work table, but there’s always something fun happening!

With Matthews Alive getting closer, I'm busy getting everything organized and deciding what will make the trip with me to Booth #24.
