It’s hard to stop myself from cutting ALL of these stems…until I remind myself that IF I wait and let them mature and dry…I could admire them again next year!

Some crops are easier than others, but learning to save seeds is worth the effort. At least my Grandpa thought so!

After a day of severe thunderstorms, we are grateful

💦 5 inches of much needed rain
🐸 bullfrogs singing again
🪷 farm ponds filling up
🌏 cracked earth rehydrating
🌱 dry crops reviving

Yet there always seem to be two sides to a blessing…

In the midst of the storm we lost

🪾 a tree branch and
🦌 one of the twin fawns 😔
