I grew up in Memphis in a household where my Mom and sisters kept the old Singer sewing machine in continuous use. If we wanted a new dress and it wasn't Easter or our birthday we'd catch a bus for Goldsmith downtown to buy a $.25 pattern and some fabric then head home, lay the material and pattern on the floor and start cutting, my knees hurt just remembering. Sewing has evolved into a life long

passion with my primary focus on interior fabrications for the home. I also make Angel Gowns made from donated wedding dresses for tiny babies unable to make it to full term pregnancies and donated to hospitals so the bereaved mom will have one less worry what to dress her precious child in for burial. Memory Bears are hand crafted from fabrics/clothing that you provide to recapture memories of loved ones or meaningful events. Textiles can include but are not limited to Granny's aprons, wedding dresses, Dad's work shirts, or old baby blankets-- most any fabric can become a tangible memory! Approximately two adult sized shirts are needed to make one bear. I look forward to creating memories for you and your loved ones.
