So who is anxious for Spring to come? The weather in my area has been so mild that I REALLY want to get out there and start cleaning up my garden beds, but I know Mother Nature isn’t finished with Winter yet.

To get you in the gardening mood I thought I would post pictures of my backyard gardens from last year. (I realized I never did post photos of them after I had planted them - oops!)

Now to create one of my totems to add to the garden. But in the meantime I’ve been cleaning up the basement to make room for my artwork area. Who said I would be bored in retirement? Nope!

Hi Friends, Joan from SG here. So happy to see many new likes here. I have been busy working on some new garden beds in my backyard. Need to have gardens to display Garden Art - Right? So no new Art projects at this time unfortunately. I'm really excited about one of my new gardens where I had a HUGE Maple tree next to my neighbor's fence removed last year. I'm doing all the work by myself, but now that I'm retired, I'm really enjoying it (achy legs and all). Stay tuned.

Hi friends of Second Glass. I want to let you know that it may be a while before I'm back creating more Glass Art for my "Second Glass" site. My husband Barry very unexpectedly passed away last Friday (9/20/19) and I'm having a very difficult time dealing with it all. I know he'd want me to continue with my art, but for now, I'm stepping away from it. We had no children, but both our families are local and I have a wonderful network of folks to help me as I mourn the loss of my beloved Barry - Joan

Hi Friends! I wanted to share with you some pics of a friend of mine’s garden. She is a collector of my artwork and I was thrilled to see them all again when the First Street Art Gallery members had a party at her home on Saturday evening. She has 3 of my pieces. I love how she has them displayed.
