There is a reason Colossians tells us to put on love like it is something we have to intentionally reach for every day.
Because choosing love as a daily decision rather that a feeling is what builds unity in any family, blended or not.

👇Drop a❤️ if you agree love is less about feeling, than it is actively choosing.

Blended family. Step family. Whatever you call them, the TV version of them is nothing like most people’s reality.

You are trying to build a new life over the foundation of an old one. You need a place in the middle that allows everyone to come together. That connection requires a bridge.

Jesus is already the bridge between humanity and God. Trust Jesus to bridge the gap between “yours” and “mine” and make it “ours”.

👇Drop 🌉in the comments if you trust Jesus to be the bridge.

Single parenting often means carrying the weight of promises someone else broke.
But when we are secure in the knowledge that God is a Promise Keeper, there is a peace that surpasses understanding. And that’s a promise He made too.

👇What helps you focus on the promises of God in this season?

The weight of single parenthood is not just that you don’t have someone to hand it all off to.
It's those hard moments that quietly begin to make you wonder whether God is even there.

👇What moments make it hardest to believe God is still there?

The Gottman statistics are sobering, especially if communication is already a struggle in your marriage.
The good news is communication is something that can change. The Bible has a lot to say about how we speak to one another and the value of truly listening.

👇Share what helps you and your spouse have more constructive conversations.

What you say and how you say it either feeds your marriage or slowly starves it. Scripture connects gracious words to nourishment for a reason.
It is a reminder that when encouragement is intentional and listening is active, both people walk away feeling seen.

👇Which is harder in your relationship speaking kind words or listening?

Some couples go quiet.
Others have conversations that turn into unresolved conflicts.

Both are dealing with the same problem. Communication issues.
Whether it is a device that is getting in the way or our style of communicating that’s the problem, awareness is the first step to improving what we say and how we say it.

👇What do you see as the biggest obstacle to communication in your home?

In Galatians 6:2, it says, 'Bear one another's burdens.
Notice it doesn’t say ‘fix’ one another’s burdens.

When mental illness impacts the home, God does not expect you to have all the answers or resolve the crisis using your own strength alone. He invites your family to bring the pain out of the shadows and into the light.

Faith gives us the courage to stop walking on eggshells and start naming the struggle openly. We break the power of stigma the moment we stop hiding our burdens and start carrying them together, covered in His grace.
Galatians 6:2 isn't just a kind idea. It's practicing your faith.

Tomorrow, we look at practical ways to replace stigma-driven silence with informed, grace-led action.

👇 What is one way faith has held your family together in a hard season? Share it below. Your story might be someone else's encouragement.
