This is something I’ve always known and have never used in our products — and it’s time to talk about it 💬

Mica powder. You’ve seen it — that beautiful shimmer in soaps, candles, and cosmetics. It looks luxurious. But do you know how it gets to us? 🧐

Children as young as four and five years old are mining mica in India and the Middle East — in dangerous, unregulated conditions — so that it can end up on a store shelf. The U.S. Department of Labor has documented this. The research is there. And once you know, you can never unknow it. ✍🏾

At Seemy Candles we made a decision from day one — we will never use mica powder in any of our products. Not because it isn’t beautiful. But because luxury should never come at the cost of a child’s safety, health, or childhood. That is not a trade we are willing to make. Ever!❌

Day 2️⃣ did not disappoint! ✨💥

Seminars, strategy, and conversations that genuinely shifted the way I think about Seemy Candles and what we’re building. Every session was a reminder that growth doesn’t happen by accident — it happens when you put yourself in the right rooms and stay open to learning ✍🏾

And the biggest win of the day? We booked a marketing call. 🤍 Because knowledge without action is just information — and we are all about action over here💪🏾

Day 1️⃣ of the Marketing Expo in Miami Beach and my mind is already full. 🤍

Walking into a room full of entrepreneurs, educators, and innovators and leaving with pages of notes, new tools, and a completely different perspective on what’s possible for Seemy Candles. We talked marketing, we talked Agentic AI, we talked about the resources that exist right now for small businesses that most of us don’t even know about yet.

The energy in that room was something else. Proof that when you put yourself in the right spaces, everything shifts. ✨
