Celebrating our 15-year milestone, we’re thrilled to highlight ’s recent appearance on the INNOVATIONS IN OUTDOOR FURNITURE AESTHETICS panel at Dcota during on March 6th. Sandra showcased stunning images from our outdoor project archives, offering a glimpse into her innovative approach.

During the discussion, moderator Mila Rebecca Molko posed a thought-provoking question:

• Tell us about your approach to making the outdoor spaces an
extension of our joyful and relaxed lives. What is your goal once
you are retained to design and transform this area of relaxation,
and what do you do to project a fusion of nature and modern style
by spotlighting innovative designs to enhance your aesthetics?

Sandra responded:

“My aim is to dissolve the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, beginning with strategic architectural planning to facilitate effortless transitions. I strive to imbue each design with our clients’ essence, ensuring their space reflects their elevated character and becomes a true extension of themselves.

Incorporating natural elements and durable outdoor materials, particularly in Florida, is paramount. Today’s advancements in furniture and materials allow for seamless integration between indoor and outdoor aesthetics. From innovative fabrics to sophisticated woods and metals, outdoor furnishings rival their indoor counterparts in both style and functionality.

With the plethora of outdoor activities available, our ultimate goal is to create a holistic living experience. We prioritize fluid transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces, providing our clients with unparalleled comfort and versatility throughout their home.”

It was truly an honor to share this panel with esteemed industry peers like F***y Haim and Allison Palladino of , whose insights and expertise continue to inspire and drive innovation in outdoor design.

At EOLO A&I Design, we’re committed to pushing the boundaries of outdoor design, crafting spaces that inspire joy, relaxation, and seamless integration with nature. Here’s to another 15 years of innovation and creativity!

In the swanky world of Roman real estate, the must-have feature was the caldarium, essentially the spa room of the elite Roman bathhouses. Think of it as the ancient version of heated floors, but with a twist. Hidden beneath the marble and mosaics was the hypocaust, the OG of central heating systems, cranking out warm vibes from a toasty furnace below.

This ingenious setup involved a network of clay pipes and pilae stacks—fancy Roman speak for pillars—that elevated the floor, creating a toasty little air pocket where hot air from the furnace played tag, warming both the floor and the walls. Imagine chilling in your Roman bath, toga dropped carelessly to the side, as warm air wafted around you, courtesy of your hypocaust-heated floor.

So, next time you're marveling at your modern heating, spare a thought for the Romans who were living the underfloor heating dream long before it became a hashtag-worthy home improvement. With their hypocaust system, Romans turned cold stone floors into warm, luxurious comfort zones, proving once again that when it came to creature comforts, the Romans were way ahead of their time.

The Pantheon in Rome, not just an ancient marvel, but also the holder of the "World's Largest Unreinforced Concrete Dome" title for a whopping 1900 years—and counting! Talk about setting a record that’s hard to beat. It’s like the Pantheon looked at modern architects saying, “Top that, future people!” And let’s not overlook its party trick: every 21st of April, on Rome’s birthday (because every city deserves a cake, or at least some sunlight), the sun lines up perfectly with the oculus—basically the building’s eye—and blasts a beam of light right through the front door. It’s the Pantheon’s way of throwing the most exclusive solar-powered bash in honor of Rome, no RSVP needed.
