The power of intention and the development of a project centered on every detail resulted in an award-winning space that not only makes a visual impact, but also educates and raises awareness about coral bleaching in our oceans.
The neon blue—chosen as the accent color throughout the entire project—was deeply intentional. In nature, when corals are under severe stress and approaching death, they often shift into vibrant, almost fluorescent tones. This phenomenon occurs as a biological response: corals produce bright pigments as a last protective mechanism against intense light exposure after expelling the algae that sustain them. Those striking neon hues become both a warning signal and a fragile expression of survival.
By translating that moment into design, the neon blue becomes more than an aesthetic gesture—it becomes a conceptual statement. It is beauty at the edge of collapse. It is attraction as a call for attention. It invites the viewer to look closer, to question, and to recognize the delicate balance of marine ecosystems.
In collaboration with top-conscious brands and companies, we were able to bring this iconic project to life in the heart of Brickell, creating a space that is as visually compelling as it is intellectually and environmentally meaningful.
