Memory Mon.. Umm I mean Tuesday.

I was burning out doing Childcare, I LOVED it but all the kids were hitting school age and I was ready for a change. So I jumped at a chance to help a Friend with his struggling Diesel shop unfortunately, this turned into a very expensive business lesson.

Lesson learned: Experience is the best teacher- but sometime the tuition is steep. That's why Whiskey River has rules, systems, and checks so that no system relies on luck.

And yes, I'm still billing that lesson as "priceless"😉

If I can run a water slide for a pack of kids ranging from infants to 12-year-olds and still love every second, your room is in safe hands.

Childcare taught me that the best memories are made in total chaos—but only if you stay 30 seconds ahead of the disaster. I’ve traded the splash zone for the workshop, but that "anticipation reflex" is permanent.

I triple-check every hardwood carve and fragrance blend because while I love a "messy" water slide day, I don’t do "messy" products. No "oops" moments here—just the perfection you deserve.

Being married to your business partner means the work follows you everywhere. Bed, dinner, the shower... it’s in our dreams, too.

Whiskey River Craftworks exists because we care about the same things.
If only our arguments were billable, we’d be retired. Instead, we’re at the bench.

This custom-carved hardwood urn for my father is why ‘good enough’ doesn't exist here. We’re capturing legacies in wood and signature scents. No days off, just the grind.

Status: Solid, gritty, and perpetually "one tweak away" from perfection.

Active Checklist:

Mechanical: Runs every weekend (somehow).

Upgrades: Continuous. If it isn't broken, we’ll "improve" it until it is.

Supervision: Ninja Pig is currently napping on the job.

Conclusion: We’re questioning our sanity, but the old girl is road-ready.

Mode: Activated. 🚀💤

Memory Monday-

There was a time when “getting by” meant taking whatever art commission showed up—ink, watercolor, realism portraits, glass engraving, oil painting, dioramas… even embroidery. Not for glory. For sanity.

Because creating kept him steady… even when the bank account didn’t.

Lesson learned the hard way: passion is great—but rent still wins.

Now every sign we carve and every fragrance we pour walks that line—grit meets craft, creativity meets reality.
