Happy Wednesday! After these couple of rounds of interesting weather days, it is great to see the sun shining and the grass so green from all the rain.

I have a little story to share today. Last week, I stopped into the shop to drop off some items (Robyn was working that day) and a lady was browsing around. She stopped up at the counter and she said, “I just have to tell you something.”

She proceeded to tell us how much she enjoyed browsing the store and how it made her whole mood change. She said she just felt so happy being in the space and complimented us on how the shop was set up and the vibe she felt while looking around.

Day made! This is exactly what we want people to feel when they stop in.

Some days are hard as a business owner when sales fluctuate and bills keep coming in, but then you hear something like this from a customer and it gives you a boost. Those little moments make a big difference.

Thankful for this Happy Place on Main Street!

Happy Favorite Things Friday! This week has flown by and here we are at the weekend already!

We have gotten many new items into the shop this week including dala horse ornaments, gnomes, jewelry (including bracelet sets), some camping signs and towels, plus more.

Open today from 11-5 and tomorrow from 11-3 and I am here both days 🙌🏻

This weekend, I tried my hand at making kransekake, a traditional Norwegian wedding cake for a family friend’s wedding.

Since I have never made one, I kept it a bit of a secret because I had no idea if it would turn out, but it did 🙌🏻

It is a ground almond, powdered sugar, and egg white base that turns into a bit of a macaron texture when baked in the circular molds. Then you stack each ring after decorating with royal icing. Last, but not least, you have to get it to the venue without dropping it 😜 Phew!
