Finished product!

sooo...first time using gel wax, first time making a mold, first time making crust... I'll take that as a win 🙂

Things that need improved upon:

gel wax.
I need to figure out how to pour quickly! Gel wax sets up mid pour...lol.. twice. Gets stringy and hard to manipulate. I had to use a heat gun to smooth the top and it melted some of my crust. I'm not a fan.

speaking of crust. I'm astonished at how beautiful it turned out, first try. I think I need a pastry roller to fancy it up. I like the idea of a braid 🙂

I need to imbed the pecans some. I'm not liking how they just lay on top. But the pecans do make me happy 🙂

A clever name for the collection.

90/10 soy/paraffin
10% Chocolate Brownie FO
Yellow and Coffee Bean die chips (only tiny bits of Coffee Bean to get the tone right.
I used a fork and kept stirring the wax as it cooled until it just started to get pliable and work fast, it crumbles at a certain point when it cools.

First time making my own molds, but it was cheaper for the sample silicone pack, so the jury is out until it cures. Pecan molds were averaging $20 and the kit was $10. A game changer for me if it works!
