My melts and candles are made from 100% natural soy wax that I buy from a company right here in the USA. I buy their unsellable candles and I clean them up, take them apart, and melt them down to create my own. doing so helps me keep my overhead low which means I can keep my costs low for you guys. Soy wax burns much longer when using the right amounts and the right wicks, it produces a stronger and longer scent, AND it burns much cleaner than traditional waxes. With melts you won't get that "burned" smell until much later and only if you leave your warmer on 24/7, most of the time the wax will just stop smelling or will evaporate. Do you want to know what I love most about soy candles and melts? THE CLEAN UP! I have 3 kids, messes happen.... a lot. soy spills clean up so easy and even leave your hands soft and smelling good if you happen to get it on them. Just a very hot rag with a little soap and it cleans off of nearly any surface, even carpet. you can even use a blow dryer to melt it down and clean it off, it has a much lower melting point than other waxes so it comes right up. Why have I decided to make candles and melts? I live in a house with 3 boys, 1 man, 3 cats, and 3 fish. in all honesty my house can STINK no matter how much I clean it. So I bought candles and scenty but I was spending way to much $$$$. One day I was looking at the airman attic(free on base thrift store) and found a simple used candle making kit so I tried it out and I LOVED it. I found out that I could spend a decent amount of money on supplies and make myself candles for a year at a fraction of the price, so thats what I did. later in the year my best friends decided they wanted to try doing home businesses and I jumped on board with my candles, so now here we are. A few years ago I had tried my hand at making and selling bread but that did not go over so well, so I dropped that and just decided to bake for friends and family. I was a bit hesitant at first about making and selling my product. Everyday the thought in my head is "What is no one buys anything? what is EVERYONE BUYS EVERYTHING?" and I never know which would be worse. but I take it day by day and so far I love doing this more everyday and I hope to continue it for as long as I can chug along.
