Sometimes it takes a few days to recuperate, lol

I am so very thankful for customers who came out to the Folk School in the rain this past weekend. Your presence and your patronage was very much appreciated.

Just as much, I'm thankful to the John C. Campbell Folk School , the hard work put in by staff and volunteers and their dedication to a 50th Fall Festival that turned out a bit more damp that we would have wished for, but I am so thankful for their efforts and for the warm welcome I always receive when I visit a place that seems like home!

I'll be missing everyone at the Farmers Market for the next 3 Saturdays.

I'm ok y'all, but that 3rd Saturday will be the weekend of the Fall Festival and I am very much behind on my wood turning.

I hope to see you all on October 3rd and 4th at the John C Campbell Folk School for the Fall Festival!

My space will be the same as last year - I'll be set up in the parking lot of the Craft Shop, directly across from the EV charging station (diagonal to the main door of the Craft Shop.

I'll be demonstrating how an Inkle Loom works (as time permits in between customers) and with over 230 vendors, 25 food vendors and lots of demos, it's going to be a fun weekend!

Thanks so much to all the folks that came out to the Murphy Farmers Market this morning.

I apologize for packing up early today - there was some crazy looking weather on the radar and we had no idea whether it was going to hit us here in Murphy (thankfully it didn't) or down in GA at Blue Ridge & Cherry Log (it did, praying that it wasn't too bad!)

Our customers at the Market are dedicated folks and we are so very thankful for them!

Spent part of the day turning. This adorable little potpourri bowl tried to kill me when my tool had a catch... Flew off the lathe right into my face.

It would have cracked me right between the eyes if I had not had a face shield on. Protection equipment is important!

Not today Satan, not today!!
