I apologize for not posting lately. My husband and I took a beautiful three week camping trip around Lake Michigan! And then we had an unexpected (but wonderful) visit from family members. But I'm back and thinking ahead to November, and even December!
In the meantime, if you need a LITTLE last minute Halloween gift or decoration, these hand-painted Lake Michigan stones have super strong neodymium magnets on the back. They stay where you put them! At Soul & Story Creative, LLC in Whitehall now! 🎃👻💀🤡

October is just around the corner! Time to decorate!
I call these spooky little campfires, "Telling People Stories." I know Nicole at Soul and Story Creative already shared these briefly, but if you want a better look at the "fires" or the "toasted marshmallows," I thought I'd post a few pictures.
Each piece is made with Lake Superior stones, twigs (logs, of course) and orange glass (yes, it's sharp - these are not toys). While I use super strong glue to put these together, they are fragile and you will still need to be careful while handling or packing away.
I don't think I'll have a chance to do more before Halloween, so if these little ghosties are calling to you, you can check them out in person at the shoppe! 3263 E Colby St, Whitehall - They're open 11-6 Tues - Fri and 11-3 on Saturday. 🎃👻🔥

Happy Fall tomorrow!!! I love all the different colors of the autumn leaves! 🍁🍂🧡 We are lucky enough to have some sugar maples on our property that not only turn a beautiful yellow in the fall, but even gave us our own supply of maple syrup when we tapped them a couple of times.
The branch in the picture below lent itself beautifully to this Pebble Tree. It has over 90 "leaves," each a different size, shape and color. This tree is in a 9x9 white shadowbox. The color looks a little different, as I took this photo at early sunset. It has glass to protect it from dust or curious fingers 😉, and is now at Soul & Story Creative, LLC in Whitehall! 🍂

As our summer flowers are prepping for winter, maybe some dried flowers would be nice in this this vase mounted on a very unique piece of driftwood. This is one of the neatest pieces I've ever found - I love the holes! This "Driftwood Vase" and another with a blue vase is at Soul & Story Creative, LLC. I will try to get in there this week to add some "Silver Dollars" to them.

Some "new" necklaces heading to Soul & Story Creative, LLC. The Petoskey Stones are actually 350 million year old corals, and are the State Stone! I've also got a couple of seafoam colored genuine beach glass necklaces, a teardrop bottle necklace filled with tiny pebbles, bits of beach glass and a touch of Lake Michigan sand, and a laser engraved and painted Michigan necklace that's only $6!
Nicole is also doing a special goody bag give-away today (until 6) and Saturday (10 - 1) for those in the business of educating and supporting our students! ☺️📝📕 (While supplies last)

I just saw the cutest ducks at Muskegon State Park, so I thought that I would share that this driftwood cutie is now at Soul & Story Creative, LLC. It's lightweight and has a D-ring on the back for hanging it on your wall. Or I guess you could even take the stand my husband made for displaying it if you'd rather it be a mantel piece. 😉🦆

With school starting, you know Fall is right around the corner! I will be heading to Soul & Story Creative, LLC tomorrow afternoon to change out some of my summer pieces for fall pieces. If you had your heart set on any summery/beachy item there, just shoot me a message. I may have it at home!
Pictured is a pretty piece of granite, full of fall colors, that I shaped, polished and put on a cord for a nice necklace. I'll be sharing other pictures of "fall-ish" pieces soon! 🍂🍁🍂
