This project has been in progress since May. When I went to Arizona for our annual family reunion, I decided to take a tour of the Southwest Parks. Interestingly enough, I was stationed at Luke AFB for my first active duty assignment. As a not so well-paid E-1, E-2, E-3 in the 1970’s, I didn’t have the funds to visit any of the parks, so this has been on my bucket list for several decades.
This is my third Installment and includes my Layout for Marble Canyon, Navajo Bridge, Vermilion Cliffs, rock dwellings and the grand finale for the day was Horseshoe Bend. When I was talking about the trip, a friend told me about horseshoe Bend and I decided it was worth visiting. Then when I was at the family reunion, my niece said that her family went out exploring the desert a lot since they live in Buckeye, AZ. She told me I should take the side trip to Marble Canyon. Then on the way out to Marble Canyon, I started seeing additional signs and figured, “I am already here, so I drove a few miles more to see the Vermilion cliffs, and the rock houses, before back tracking to get back to the highway to Horseshoe Bend. It was well worth the extra miles. I used the Weekend Adventure Scrapbooking Kit for these layouts. This is the final of three layouts features the Scenary along the way and Horseshoe Bend.
