We’re taking a moment to pause and soak in the inspiration shaping early summer. Some of the design directions we are especially loving lately and drawing inspiration from within our current and upcoming projects:
❖ Classic influences with a playful perspective — traditional design is beginning to feel lighter and far more personal. Curved silhouettes, decorative trims, sculptural forms, and vintage-inspired motifs are all contributing to this shift.
❖ Lighting with lots of character — one of the strongest themes I noticed throughout High Point was the movement toward lighting that feels almost like functional art. Handblown glass, woven textures, plaster finishes, and custom pieces continue to bring so much warmth and individuality into the spaces we design.
❖ Passementerie and decorative trim details — we continue to love fringe, tape trims, layered embellishments, and textile detailing.
❖ Tile as a statement — artisan tile, rich stone combinations, custom niche designs, and layouts with movement and architectural character continue to inspire us.
❖ Rich materiality and expressive color — I am continually drawn to textured wallcoverings, mixed metals, handcrafted finishes, natural stone and quartz alike, and soft colors with presence.
❖ Personal, collected spaces — I have noticed such a movement toward homes that feel intimate and emotionally connected rather than trend-driven. Homes are being designed not just to be seen, but to be lived in and cherished for years to come. 🩷
